This was a special year that changed card collecting.
Card Makers came up with a new idea of limiting the number of
cards to 150 (the Flair Legacy cards), 250 (SPx Record Breaker
Autograph cards – they were hand numbered) and 499 (the
E-X2000 Credential cards). They actually numbered each card individually.
This created a real excitement when opening a pack with numbered
cards. The feeling was like Charlie from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate
Factory in hopes you found the prized possession of a numbered
card, or the “Golden Ticket”.
